Standard Scans
Our Standard Scans will work great for 80% of everyone. It’s sufficient resolution for a 5x7 print and more than enough for social media, websites, or any other digital use. They come in around 5MB uncompressed and are compressed into JPEG files, which stands for “Joint Photographic Experts Group,” so they will be smaller until you open them in a program like Adobe Photoshop.
Enhanced Scans
Enhanced Scans are for prints up to 12” x 18” and will be approximately 18 MB uncompressed. For users who want to print larger, perhaps for a small poster or brochure. Again, these files are output in compressed JPEG files.
Super Scans
They are around 60-80MB uncompressed. These scans are designed for individuals who want the most comprehensive options possible. Suitable for everything from Social Media to doing large, high-resolution gallery prints. These files are also output in compressed JPEG files.
Super Duper Scans
These scans are approximately 60-80 MB in uncompressed size. These files are for individuals who require the highest quality scans available and intend to utilize programs such as Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop. They will be saved as a 16-bit TIFF, which stands for Tag Image File Format, allowing for the most options in post-production for still images.
